Was doing my 12 park run, no rain, just the gale. This voice behind me sai”I’m following you” which was a great complement. I looked round to see a young woman, found out later she was 40. So I encouraged her with “come on, we can do this” as we were running up hills. She followed me in. Lots of laughing and huffing and thank yous. It was her second park run. I felt really proud of my self. Not my pb, but a good run on a day of. It’s raining, the wind is howling, do I really want to do this.

The coffee and cake after was worth the effort!

Awww sounds great despite the weather! I’m so glad I went out this morning.

I’m usually the lady who shouts to the ones in front “I’m coming, I’m catching up! Don’t stop now! We can do it!”

Such a nice story, and I'm impressed with anyone who turned up for parkrun in yesterday's weather (I didn't, I was watching the rugby 😳)
