Apologies All

I have not been on here to share for some time and feel like I need to catch up.

First of all JuJu's magic plan I have gone completely off the track. I got to week 3 and no further. There's a number of reasons, but the main think is for now I'm going to take things at my own pace and just enjoy running with the aim of eventually getting back on the plan and to 60 minutes.

I had this awful flu like lurgy, which stopped me running for 2 weeks. I got out of breath after a few steps walking, but I'm on the mend. I just returned from a 20 minute jog and feel like I got my running mojo back.

I did do some of the strength and flex exercises though whilst I was off running. They're very good. In fact I bought Runners magazine and there was a whole booklet included with the same exercises in it.

When I wasn't running, I almost felt like I was breaking some kind of agreement I made and felt really guilty. So I am so glad I managed to get out again.

As my friend said to me this morning...a 'year ago we never wanted to run, but now don't want to never run. ...think it makes sense πŸ˜€

You are all great, thank you

Congratulations for getting back out there. Running has to be fun and have rewards. There is no right or wrong way to progress just the way that’s best for you. You seem to have your way sussed well done. Happy running πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Welcome back Zebadee1! Sorry to hear that you’ve been under the weather but hopefully you’re well on the mend now. Your friend is very wise - I still think this whole thing is bonkers but, hey, it works! Happy running!

Welcome back! How was your 20 minutes run this morning? I've had a couple of enforced breaks recently and getting back out there felt so good, fingers crossed for full health and fitness continuing for both of us! ☺
