Running gloves on!

Good morning fellow runners :) Winter seems to have come a little early here in Northants, very foggy and just one degree when I arrived at the car park this morning, and that was about 8 o'clock. It was quite a chilly 6k up the old railway line and the gloves didn't come off until about half way!. A taste of weather to come I guess, I quite like running in the cold weather but it came as a bit of a shock to system this morning especially when I saw the one degree and the ice warning pop up on the dashboard 🤔

I feel for you. We've had a few quick tastes of winter already on the prairies in Canada. I've pulled out my winter running gear but have only ran a couple times in them. It is nice to use some of the cooler weather gear again but I'm not quite ready for full-on winter yet.

Same over here, I thought we were still in autumn but I'm not so sure after this morning 🤔

Blimey, ice! I’m in the south west and although we have no frost, it was very foggy and cold this morning. It’s my hands that feel the cold first so I must dig out my gloves ❄️❄️

Yes me too, then after a few k I'm stuffing my gloves in my pocket because I'm too warm normally 😁

Brrr great effort to keep going. I had cold weather on Monday but today it was 11 deg 1st thing. Weird, think its layers that are needed.

Yes, and then we get all the fun of the “Too cold, No too hot” runs, as the layers need to come off. 🤣🤣

Then it's what do with it 😁 ... I ended up carrying my gloves this morning because I had no pockets 😁

Yep. Having started last winter, I have already learned to plan for When I get too hot.... 🤔 And this from someone who spent my previous life wearing a sweater when the rest of the world was in t-shirts. Quite often, I just tough out the cold bits rather than have to carry stuff. How running changes us! 😄

Not too bad down in Surrey/ Kent border if but damp..

Yes, it starts going under 10deg c and I need to cover hands as have arthritis in fingers, I have looped sleeves in my running hoody so they're handy..

Oooh very foggy! 😲 Well done you!

We had a bit of a foggy start in the South West today too. 😯! This reminds me to check the weather in the morning. Gloves have been dug out already. 😁 Thanks for the reminder. ❤️

I like running in cold weather too. I’ve not needed gloves yet up here in Lancashire as we haven’t had fog. Looks like next week is getting colder though so I’m ready! Happy winter running.

Sorry to jump on...running gloves? Are there specific ones that people use?

I have some Karrimor gloves, they were about £5 from Sports Direct, only cheap but they are ok.

I also have the Karrimor cheap gloves 😀 I tend to run around 6am, so have been in the gloves for the last couple of weeks 🧤🧤

Had a foggy soggy run here this morning - much milder though :)

I quite like running in fog, feels like I'm in a little musical running bubble!

Its been pouring with rain all morning here today (Thurs), give me fog and cold any day as far as running goes! 😆

Yikes, still better than running in the hot weather though!...running gloves are one of the things I'm lacking, must make a small purchase this evening 👍😉
