I am ok...i tell myself ... apart from annoying upper thigh muscle...#pain. I am wearing compression socks for running to help with small veins in lower right leg and associated pains (my gp recommends).im dreadfully slow and i am frustrated.. one thing semi resolved by the compression socks and I've now another... any ideas / suggestions? #help

Upper thigh muscle pain, is it a strain pulled muscle.?
Do you need to rest it for a while, take pain relief tablets/gels and after a couple of days stretch it.

what sort of pain is it? It could be tightness from not enough stretching, you may need to add more strength training to your routines or it could be more serious but hard to tell from this?
More like a "pull up " sort pain.. stops me making a full stride.. couldn't cope too well with cardio tennis last night with same leg ( just above knee into lower thigh) giving me grief.. it feels tight today ( i am on my feet 4 my work days too).

Have your lower back/hips looked at: I had been treating sore leg muscles for weeks (hams, calves, shins, IT bands) before finding out all was due to one sacroiliac joint. I’m feeling better already but need to spend 10 more days on the IC.
