You have probably all gathered that I'm a fair-weather runner. However if we wait for good weather at the moment we'd never run, so off I went to join the local running group. Rain started leaking in round my hood and running down my back. Yuk. Big muddy puddles. Lots of them. Yuk. I didn't mind the getting wet and would do that again, but my hair goes wild (for those of the same generation think Crystaltips) and it takes an hour or more to tame it. Currently considering shaving it off (but know I'm it brave enough).
Got home, showered and changed and went to out with the local canal volunteer group. Got wet again. Roll on summer π

Roll on summer, ha, have to wait 10 months for that, then we would all grumble because it is too hot, be patient, hopefully this spell of rainyβ weather will soon end.
I canβt imagine you looking like Crystaltips, thatβs how I go π
I have to say I was tempted to go out on a run today but I resisted. Took eldest on a long walk then had a shorter walk with Katnap. That will do me, and it wasnβt raining here. Well done for getting out again! I donβt mind rain, as long as itβs warm rain... the river is looking very full here.
It was fairly cold rain. Especially when it rained in down the side of my hood and trickled down my back. π¬I was glad to get moving. I do t want to make a habit of this running in the rain lark.
I enjoy running in the rain. Mind you living on the edge of the Highlands means Iβve often little choice. Sundayβs treat was a run up and round the local trails in the pouring rain; 10.2k, 220m of ascent and back home for coffee and pastry in around an hour and 12 minutes. Best way to start the week I know. Looking forward to the first snow in a month or so πββοΈβοΈπ
Fab. It must be good to have the support and motivation of a running group too. I had no intention of going out until a weak and watery sun appeared at tea time
I'm looking for a nice route for tomorrow's run but I've just seen flooded fields by the Mersey. I like running in the rain but not wading through ponds.
You obviously have the same hair as me! Madly frizzy with even a tiny bit of rain π well done on getting out there in the rain though. Itβs really windy here so was almost going backwards at one point.
