My running seems a bit tame after the adventures of the Lyme Park Mob but on Weds made my earliest start yet out before 7am and completed my longest run to date 7.5 miles in just short of 78 mins.
Then today my 15th Park Run on the 15th Anniversary of Park Run and I got off to a flyer, unlike last week in Southampton. Managed to maintain a good pace throughout and took 31 secs of my best time for a new PB of 28.32!
It was only a few weeks ago I was saying I couldn’t possibly do a sub 30 min on that course, but since upping my distances the increased stamina building is definately having an effect.
But guess what. There was NO CAKE! Just Celebration Chocolates! Ohh well better than nothing I suppose!

Congratulations on that PB. No cake? How rude... chocolates good though. It’s great to see your hard work is paying off... have fun beating that new time!
Well done on PB parkrun. After 4 park runs I was thinking of giving up on the idea of sub 30 even after yesterdays PB 31.33. However your post has got my hope back. Your distance run is very good as well. Thus I reckon the double joy of sub 30 5K and 10K is not that far away for you.
Yea don’t give up. I was getting sub 30’s on my own but on my Park Run course, I was positive it was beyond me! But now I’m increasing distances really noticing the added stamina capability plus the mental attitude it’s ONLY 5K.
Well done Chris141 ...you've had a couple of great achievements there haven't you?? sounds to me like you deserved the biggest piece of triple chocolate cake with chocolate butter icing and chocolate sprinkles...oh sorry, I went off into my own world of chocolate then....I suppose a celebration will suffice!!
