Didn't run today as my knee is sore. I had the same thing at the end of July and it healed after a week of rest. It a pain right up the centre of my right knee and hurts when l climb stairs.
Had anyone experienced this? Do l need to see a sports specialist?
Thanks

Good decision! As it’s recurring now then I’d definitely be going to seek a medical opinion before running again. Maybe you’re exposing a weakness that will simply need added strengthening work, but without a qualified person assessing it, it’s difficult to suggest any exercises as they could do more harm than good. Hope it’s better soon and that you’re back out there enjoying your running.
Better a short visit to the IC than to push through and wind up there for months... have a look for some good seated cardio to keep that fitness up and get the endorphin fix. We have a couple in the pinned posts over on Strength and Flex.
