First 10k race

Been a while since I posted on here.

After strating C25K back in Feb 2017 I couldn't run for more than 2 mins.

I was over weight at nearly 16st, never exercised, smoked and totally unfit.

The app is the best thing I can recommend to start your journey into being a fitter and healthier person.

I set myself a goal & managed to run the Cardiff half marathon last October in 1hr 53mins.

Made it through the winter by still training as much as I could. I'm now thankful spring is here lol.

Start of this year signed up for a few runs, I find it important to have something/a goal t work for.

Ran my heart out at the the Cardiff bay 10k last month with a very respectable 42.59 + hoping for a sub 1hr 40 half in Swansea this June.

Anything is possible guys. Go for it!

Lovely post thank you for sharing your journey with us.

Congratulations on your achievements ... and in such a short time, I started Feb 207 and have only just run 10k!

Good luck with your future runs.

Happy running!

It sure is! It’s amazing what our bodies can do once we’ve made up our mind!

You sure have turned things round fitness wise, and your race times are really good. You should be very proud ! Giving up smoking and eating healthy really do pay off and pave the way for a far more active life 😃👍🏃‍♂️

I was absolutely knackered and fatigued haha. But seeing my family near the finish line put a smile on my face :)
