First 10k race

First race done, loved it and owner of my first bling!!!!

My aim was 1 hr ( fastest in training was 1:07). Thought I’d set off too fast, especially when my first 5k matched my fastest parkrun time! However, I felt comfortable with the pace and found my rhythm. Sprint finish at the end and did it in 53:55, much faster than predicted! Amazing what race adrenaline does to you!
