Woke up to this and it isn’t forecasted to end any time soon. We’ve been in a winter storm watch since yesterday.....and it continues......
Off to the treadmill I go, for now. I’m not quite ready to don the winter running gear just yet.

Whaaaaat? Oh that’s plain unfair Sask. Already? Isn’t that early even for you? 👎☹️ ❄️ 🥶
Yes, it’s early even for us, especially the amount of snow they are forecasting. It likely won’t last too long but it makes you want to hibernate, that’s for sure. It is taking all my energy to put on my shorts and go downstairs to get on the treadmill. But I’m one step closer. Just have to put on my shoes. It has only taken me an hour to get to this point 😆
Go on, you’re almost there! Don’t give up now ....... 😀🏃♀️❄️👏
I did it! Thanks 😊. I cut it short due to a really tight ankle (I don’t think the shoes I bought last winter for the treadmill are the right ones for me) but spent some time doing some ankle and glute stretches and strengthening exercises so it was a good session, all in all.
That is just plain ridiculous! Dip in the jet stream or something? Hope it disappears quickly!⛄️⛄️
Well, I've heard from my mum who's in Marrakesh with friends. It's 42C over there. Even l wouldn't run in that temperature. And if it matters to you at all (given the circumstances) I think that your photo looks beautiful. Over here in London, heavy rain and gusty wind rule the day. I ran 10k outside all the same, couldn't help it.
It is pretty and I normally do enjoy my winter outside runs, just not ready for it today. I’ll take snow and cold over 42C though🥵.
I ran my 10k in the rain on Friday, knowing the temperature was going to dip and today’s run was going to likely not happen and quite enjoyed it. I got 15 minutes on the treadmill today before I decided to do some strength training instead. It’s a win-win, I guess?
You'll quickly adapt, you always do. What l also like about your photo is that it reminds me of change of seasons (I love any changes), and now we will hear complaints about weather (English posts, mostly 😉) which will echo similar issues we had in the summer ('oh, cannot run, too hot, l cannot cope'). My wife, my family actually, are sun worshippers (give us heat and we will vote for you) and l managed (l think) to explain to them that any weather is simply beautiful if we try and adapt. I believe that's the case. Enjoy your running, Sask!
We do like to complain about weather, don’t we 😆. But there is a lot of beauty with each season. I actually really like Autumn, it is just so short where I am. You blink and it is over.
That's the trouble. Good things go fast. I try and fail to figure out how to slow them down. On another level, my dentist proceeded with hygiene treatment a few days ago and took his sweet time. He evidently understands how to hang on to his good times. I thought it lasted forever and ever. And he? He was zen.
I hope you make it to the treadmill! And feel great after your run! I haven’t run on a treadmill in years. Your photo does look nice!
Blimey! Have a good treadmill run... than snow is beautiful to look at after it.
That is a quick change of season!
Where are you? Looks amazing but early!
Still in t shirts, and shorts, and, applying sun cream here
Good job you got your trail race out of the way Allie. This makes me think I’d better do something about our ski holiday 😂⛷
My husband is out playing with our snowmobiles right now seeing how best to make them fit in our new enclosed trailer. He is very excited about the snow. I’m hoping we’ll get some great winter activities this year. I booked a week off at Christmas - perhaps there will be decent snow for a great Christmas snowmobiling holiday but way to early to book something. We could be 20 degrees and raining next week 🤷♀️
Oh that looks gorgeous - not sure I would run in it but it looks lovely.
Looks very nice. 😊 Good u have that treadmill. Well done for getting on it today... Or yesterday.. Sorry I'm not sure of the time difference
Wow! Looks quite pretty buuuut it's only September, which makes for a long old winter. Het teady to enjoy your snow sports ... good luck
Gee, bit early!
Oh yuck! I hate treadmill running, but I love snow. I wouldn't try to run in it though!
