I didn’t think I would ever do this but I have I’ve only gone and got another PB and in 27:47 so I’m over the moon with that I had the same running pace all the way apart from the hills and downhill I can step it up and I do go for it and I was loving every moment of it.
Happy running everyone hope everyone else had a great parkrun today 😉🏃🏻♂️😀😁😃😊

Congradulations Kev fantastic time ❤. Can I ask you a question I get a different time on my Garmin than my Parkrun results even though I dont start my watch until well before I start and dont stop my watch until after I get my token. I am new to all this and am not sure how it all works. I just feel the parkrun time was slower by a minute and I am not sure how because I ran at a faster pace today . I dont know I will see again nxt wk. I will eventually work it out. Well done u 👍🏃♀️🏃♀️
Yeah its strange but it was a bit hectic this morning they were short volunteers etc due to the Rugby World Cup. I will see how it goes nxt wk. I am taking the Garmin time this week at 39.48 just because it makes me happy ❤🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Your Parkrun time starts when the RD says “go” and stops when you pass between the timekeepers on the finish line.
I start my watch when I get to the start line (usually about 10 secs after “go”) and stop it when I get to the finish. So my “watch time” is around 10 secs faster than “parkrun time” (and is the time I keep in my personal records).
At some runs, it can be well over a minute after “go” before the last runners get to the start
Sounds great, well done. I kept my run to a planned route this morning along a road, not sure like running by the road, so came back along the canal. My happy place 😊
I am Lynsh very proud of myself thank you so much much I never thought I would get into the the 27 min time ever but I have and I can never see myself not running it’s a passion for me and I feel fantastic after it happy running Lynsh hope you have a dry run next Xx
Congratulations on completing another PB, not long before you will be able to run a sub 25 minute 5K, I think every run you have ran since graduating from C25K has been a PB, that is in itself quite an achievement. 😊 🏃
Thank you Alan yes I’m so happy with my time didn’t think I would ever get into 27mins I have only had 9 PB out of 13 not a bad record though and that is a massive achievement but I think I’m hooked now 😉👍
That's a interesting statistic, Kev, I am quite interested in stats, if I can remember all the 5K's I have ran, no sub 30 minute 5k for me but the first one was a sub 35 minutes at 34.24, that was last September, 2018, in October last year I ran a 5K in 32.25, no more 5Ks until July this year at Parkrun, the first was 34.16, next, 34.17, next 32.19, then a bit slower at 33.31, the last two 5K parkruns have been PBs, with 32.01 and 30.55 being the times, I don't take my metromone app with me to parkrun, however, if I do get a sub 30 minute 5k say locally by setting it at a high 170 something beats a minute I might take it to the Parkrun and set it at the same number, that way I might get a sub 30 minute 5k there. 😊 🏃.
