Really sTrongFuse, you look as if you are on an Arctic expedition in that photograph, I also live in Scotland, it's not all that cold, what are you going to wear come December to March?.
This morning I ran run 3 of week 5 of C25K only wearing my running cap, T shirt and shorts, a little cold at first but I soon warmed up during the run.
Not sure what people will think if you turn up at a parkrun when the temperature is 10C/50F as you are in that photograph and everyone else is in shorts and T shirt 👚 🙄🤔I do agree with you regarding running to keep you warm.
That photo is actually from last winter so I took a bit of a liberty. I'm just moaning about the fact that I've finally admitted defeat and turned the heating back on.
Can't really complain about the summer we've had; I'm just not quite ready for it to be finished.
That said, it's my birthday at the start of October, and when I lived in the far north, having a "white" birthday wasn't an altogether unheard of occurrence. All we need now is for the first utterance of the immortal phrase: "and the A939 Cock Bridge to Tomintoul road is closed" and we'll know that winter has officially begun again...
I am the same. When it gets colder, I have a lightweight chenille "skin" that I wear under my t-shirt and full length running tights for under my shorts (although I can't wear the tights for rugby due to some arcane law of the game). Other than than, it's the same gear all year round.
😂😂you like you're going on the rob. I'm in Scotland also went out today with just a t-shirt as I know within 5 minutes in warm. Still came back sweating and yes like you I have a lot less'insulation' also 😊😊
It's mostly thyroid related in my case. I can be freezing in the middle of summer. I'm ok once I get moving. It's the running about on Saturday mornings in all weathers wearing just my rugby kit that can be quite unpleasant.
