I do love my Sunday long runs. It was a very busy, but lovely weekend so I was only aiming for 10k, nice and steady along our favourite route. π. As usual Squiggy enjoyed chasing the pigeons and squirrels. The photo is of him jumping up a tree trunk after a squirrel!! On our return journey I had a bit of a shock. I heard an engine noise and a rumble. Can't be a lorry, too far from the road so it must be.....oh dear, an early train on the heritage line (which runs parallel to the trail)!! I called Squiggy and luckily he got back to me so I could grab his collar, just as the train passed by! I wasn't expecting that π¬.
Today I decided to try some cross training. I usually only run or walk with Squiggy but decided to try riding my bike! So I pushed the bike to the beginning of the trail, let Squiggy off the lead and off we went. It worked really well because I could keep up with him, well nearly π. Although I didn't get out of breath I suppose it was still good exercise. Short, hilly run tomorrow.
Happy running everyone π
