So, I completed the 6km hilly run this morning in my town in France. The reason I took up this running lark one year ago.

Knackered but happy. What’s next?

Oh yes! All those friends who fell off their chairs last year when I said “I’m going to do that” ...

Oh yes. And got me a huge sticky bun at the end.

Well done! You look as though you may be on the other side of the border to us, and I still have not got back up to 5k after the summer heat!

I’m in Céret just north of Spanish border. A mere 20C at the start time. Yes, much of the summer too hot to run.

A beautiful town, and only a tortuous passage over the Pyrenees to Banyoles , where we are! I will think of you running, on the other side, tomorrow, when I go out!

Thank you. This afternoon I thought back on all the C25K runs in the cold and rain thinking “that run is never going to happen”. I’ve run longer distances recently but this was a symbolic one for me.

They do a very hilly 20km as well on the same day, usually won by East Africans in just over an hour. Time limit is 2 1/2 hours and it’s a b*gger of a run. Perhaps in 2021....

Awe France 😍

Nothing better than steak and Dijon mustard.

Well you’ll have to do a HM 👍🏽

Cooler weather = perfect for training 💪🏽

HM is next on my list but not on such a hilly course. Holland perhaps!!

Well done! A lovely area and a far cry from the level Camel trail!

I'll say! I chose the Camel Trail because it's so flat. Hills were quite a shock to my system (and still can be).
