I now have my first sporting medal - a finishers medal from the โRun through the treesโ event at Westonbirt Arboretum yesterday! My last sporting award (apart from my C25K and B210k awards which I need to print off) was for swimming a width of the pool when I was 6 years old. Looking at the results I was the only โNHS Couch to 5Kโ club member there, came in 391/546 and was timed at 1:08:12 which was better than I expected๐.
First official 10k - got me a medal! ๐ - Bridge to 10K
First official 10k - got me a medal! ๐
Congratulations on completing your first official 10K,well done, I notice that the 5k Parkrun that I run in and other results I look at, there are not many from C25K who take part in those runs.
Oh wow Dozy that must have been a wonderful place to run yesterday - the weather was idyllic - albeit a little warm? Itโs so beautiful at Westonbirt. ๐๐
Huge well done on your 10k - you sure look mighty proud in that great photo. ๐โโ๏ธ๐ ๐ Congratulations. ๐๐๐
Oh I did that one too! Will post a full report later.
We had a gorgeous evening but a tad hot and the hill at the end ๐ฎ๐ฉ
Well done to you, fab medal I love it ๐
The description said mildly undulating- I counted 3 hills!
It was the promise of trees that attracted me to the run but I only noticed one tree - Most of my attention was on the track and my fellow runners! ๐
It was very warm and I liked the water half way round although I had to stop to drink it ๐
First 10k is very special and what a great place to run, too! Great photo and time - I suspect there will be more medals for you now...๐๐
The first 10k race is really special and running through the trees sounds like my New Forest run last week. Absolutely lovely. Well done, thatโs a great time.
