I’m in wk 2 of the plan am loving it so far, I really enjoy the challenge of pushing myself to the next level. I found the 6k run today really good, it helped that it was drizzling at times and cool outside at 7am! I kept the pace slowish and felt like I could have done more....should I be running a bit faster then? My pace was 6.2/km and on my short run on Monday was 5.56/km. I’m new to the distance pace thing so wanting to get a better understanding of the best way forward. TIA everyone!

I’m on week 2 aswell. My long runs are much slower than my short run or parkrun paces, the advice notes say this too. If you feel you could have increased the pace a bit then you could do it gradually in the long run towards the end rather than at the start, this will ensure you don’t peak too soon and run out of juice.

It is an enjoyable plan and provides great variation to keep the motivation for running.

Was already upto 7K on week one but pace was mixed. So this week decided from the outset to run for an hour. That helped ensure my pace was much more even. Achieved 8.7K more easily than the 7K. My thoughts are future 10K runs will increase pace.
