I love my Fitbit, I am on my second. Arguably no-one 'needs' one though so it depends what you are looking to get from it?

I wanted something simple that could go on my wrist and be forgotten about (I track my runs using Runkeeper on my phone) - and I also wanted to monitor my heart rate so a Charge HR was the lowest I could go (and I pointed my beloved in the direction of a fabulous Black Friday deal from M&S of all places) I now have a 3 so I can wear it in the shower and the pool, with a metal strap and I love it for that but I actually find it a bit more annoying and inaccurate than my old one (has a tendency to decide for itself very late I am on a run it thinks it should track... and then tracks me all the way home in the car too...

Thank you, you are right, I don’t ‘need’ a Fitbit but I do ‘need’ a device to track my runs accurately as the app on my phone is just not cutting it of late and I would really like to know times and distance correctly post C25K. I’m disheartened when I get back from what I think is a good run to discover it hasn’t been tracked in full! 🏃‍♀️😣

Hey I found some fitbits on sale on eBay some time ago I am sure you can still get them there for a better price. There are also other non-Fitbit brands on there too for a fraction of the cost, happy shopping!

Thank you, I will check out eBay, it doesn’t have to be a branded Fitbit, any brand will suffice as long as it accurately tracks my running 🏃‍♀️ 😁

If you want to accurately track your runs you should get a GPS watch. I bought a Garmin Forerunner 15 online second hand from eBay a couple of years ago. You can get ladies and men’s models. It was amazing, worked perfectly for 2 years and I got it for £20.

I upgraded a couple of months ago to a Garmin 35. You could also get one of them for around £70 on eBay. Garmin are very accurate.
