hello all, it’s been a while! As title, I’ve never run at this time of day-previous events have been 9am so I just went for a bowl of porridge & a mug of tea 3 hours before. I don’t fancy porridge for lunch ! I was thinking either jacket potato with cheese or beans on toast as carbs & quite bland.
Any suggestions gratefully received!

Just what you fancy...but in good time before. So..a good breakfast in the morning to start the day?
I do 10K runs on most Sundays..and as with all my runs, before breakfast.
I have just a cuppa and 2 digestive biscuits about an hour before.. I have a 10 o'clock race tomorrow..10K and as I have to leave by 8... I am having some toast
thanks for asking, been away with work only back in UK last night. To cut a V long story short , I realised work had messed up my flights on Sunday so nearly missed start of the race on hold to BA customer services.
So warm up was a v short jog while waiting for the race to begin. I got a new PB on the 10K!
Didn't realise that they were also chip timing the 5K point too, but was a nice surprise as got a new 5K PB too
Haven't had a chance to run since as was staying in a beautiful historic but potentially lethally cobbled town in Belgium. Hoping to get out for a trot tonight.
