Trying the 5.5k run of Juju’s Magic Plan, I went to the beach because that felt like a good idea (ha ha!). I thought I’d Jeff this and despite the high tide, a strong onshore breeze and crowds of the last late holiday makers, I was making great progress running for two mins walking for 30 seconds. At the halfway mark I turned around and tried to retrace my steps but the wind was sooo strong, I decided to head inland, and got immediately lost in the winding paths and the up and down dunes and impossible drifts of soft sand. Not good for Jeffing but definitely for effing! I gave in and ran when I could and walked when the sand was too loose, or the slopes were too steep to run up or down. I’ve lived here for 23 years and found paths I never knew existed, so while I was dreading this run it was in fact an adventure.
Ended up on 7.5k rather than 5.5k. And the intervals were very erratic but I did it!
The best run yet. By far.
