So I did C25K last year, having not run since primary school, lost 3.5 stone after getting the running bug, then put 1.5 stone back on over the winter when work was crazy and the mornings were too dark to run at 6am.... Anyway I got back into it and started parkrun again, then in a fit of enthusiasm (!) entered myself for the Worcester 10K in 3 weeks time and whilst on holiday in France I've managed to run 10K very slowly, 4 times over the last 2 weeks! It's taken me about 1.5 hours each time. Question.... Is 1.5 hours likely to be too slow for a charity run, am I likely to come last? Getting a bit anxious about it all now, as I know some people will be finishing in about 40 minutes π¬
Worcester 10K in 3 weeks! π¬: So I did C25K... - Bridge to 10K
Worcester 10K in 3 weeks! π¬
Congratulations on entering that 10k event, don't worry about coming last at 90 minutes, as for 40 minutes, those are the elete club runners who can run a 10k in that time. I have looked at several 10k event runs, unless you are running with a lot of club athletes you won't be last, anyway, even if you were last you would get a big cheer from the other runners and the spectators, I wish you well for that π run
Thank you for the encouragement a few weeks ago.... I did the 10K in 1h 17 so I was really pleased! A great day π
Well done to you oldwheezer69, you did very well indeed, great time as well.
Over the last 3 weeks, I have ran two 10K runs locally around the loch near to where I live, that's why now I have the word Graduate10 next to my username,
You have now ran a 10K, to get the word Graduate10 next to your username leave a message on the pinned posts on the right-hand side of the Healthunlocked Graduate10 Homepage and tell the administrators that you have ran a 10K.
Great to hear you're back running!
I've just had a look at last year's results and as long as I've looked at the right race - Worcester City 10k? - you're unlikely to be last. The last 7 people all came in with a chip over 1hr 50 mins. Good luck with your race - have fun π
Ah that's so kind of you! Yes, that's the one. I didn't realise you could look up last year's results - that's really reassuring, thank you! Will aim to enjoy it now π
