Up until now, I’ve completed everything without stopping, using the go slower method if things got tough. But today, man oh man, I had no option but to pull over and trudge back to the Sports Centre. My legs were leaden, my body felt five stone heavier, there was no spring in my step, my head said no. Back inside I went to the gym and made myself do 10 minutes on the treadmill which was marginally better, but I was still struggling: there were no specific aches or pains in worrying places, which is good as I’m at the sunset of Achilles tendinopathy recovery (I hope), so I think I was just badly hydrated and a tad hungry. Mental note: read up on running and eating.
But. I then played indoor cricket and had a full body workout. Tomorrow I rest. And drink water. And eat pasta. Friday is another day! #NoPasaran

No need to worry about it tulipcat. I intended running a long one yesterday but halfway through I just decided to call it a day. Sometimes your body doesn’t want to do what your mind does. I’m sure your next one will be fine.
When you have no calories to fuel the run you feel like death It happened to me once when I set off for a short run and ended up doing twice the distance I’d planned, having had no breakfast Schoolgirl error ☺️
