Just a 5k 'pavement pounder' for me today. Still quite gusty out and about this afternoon but warm with it. Hope everyone else has been able to get out and run safely today? As someone who prefers running in the autumn and winter, it has made me yearn a little more for those cooler days ahead! 🏃🏽‍♀️

Yes, it was a glimpse of days to come, wasn’t it? Quite a lot of sticks and small branches coming down, so it felt a little more hazardous than usual.

Hi Sandraj39 it was a blustery 5k parkrun for me today almost identical pace as your 5k, luckily it was sheltered by trees as Hasting was cancelled due to stormy conditions. Yes you’re right about yearning for cooler conditions I’m finding this humid weather really tough 👍😀

I have to say, I'm looking forward to winter! What's wrong with me? I'm starting to turn into gollum, I don't want people to have picnics, sunshine, joy and happiness "I wants it cloudy, cold and slimy.. precious"

Good run Sandra! 👍🏃‍♀️ It was fun In the wind wasn’t it? 💨💨 I wasn’t looking forward to being buffeted at PR yesterday morning, especially if there was a headwind up the hill, but it ended up being a side wind which was a quite refreshing. 👍 It helped cut through the humidity.

I agree about loving autumn/winter running. I just don’t like the shortened daylight hours. 🏃‍♀️💦 🍁 ❄️ ☀️ 🏃

Yes it was warm and windy. It was very wet too where I was so a bit steamy under the layers

Cooler days of autumn are perfect. I dread winter running somewhat. Reflections of road running in the dark getting soaked by passing lorries 🙈.
