There’s lots of varied plans and people at different points in them as, for obvious reasons, it’s about being ready for an event... lots of support, knowledge and experience to tap into though.

I used Hal Higdon's plan, you can google it. Please note that marathon training is a bit more structured, it requires consecutive running days (three in a row with that plan) and long practice runs (21k, 25k, 28k and 32k). In other words, you should be running for at least a few years and be fully comfortable with 10k and longer runs in order to attempt it and carry on injury free. Good luck!

I’m with mrrun here. One step at a time. Just concentrate on c25k and consolidate that for 3 weeks before thinking about longer distances. Then you can come on this forum to discuss 10k plans. Many of us did juju’s plan in pinned posts, which is very successful.
