Well today is gym abs and legs then afterwards I'm going out to the park for my 10k training I'm so addicted to running it's crazy but in a good way I actually think that this training is improving my 5k park running which seems to be improving week by week but I know it's going to come to a stop soon as I will hit my limit one day who knows what that's going to be π
W10 R1 5k to 10k: Well today is gym abs and... - Bridge to 10K
W10 R1 5k to 10k
Yep, who knows. Running surprises us every day π π
I was poring over my run plan last night, and have just scoffed my porridge and peanut butter, all set to run a 9k recovery run with Coach Bennett (Nike Run Club app) It may or may not rain π€·ββοΈπ§’π
Enjoy your 9K "recovery" run, MissWobble, not sure what the difference is between a 9K run and a 9K 'recovery' run. ?? π! is it just to do with Coach Bennett on Nike Run Club app?
It's a very slow one as I did a 20 km run on Friday. So, it's called a "recovery" run.
Thanks for that explanation, just shows me that the longest run I have ran since graduating from C25K was a 6K in 44.25, (my 5K split time was 36.41) and that was yesterday, I am thinking of running a 7K next Sunday, perhaps if I can get running up to 9K midweek, the 5K parkrun on a Saturday will feel quite short. π
I did a run today after the gym and 5min walk 15min run walk 1min x3 5min walk was a bit harder than last week but 5mins more running but I can feel itβs going to get easier the more I progress π
Though not so new to running now, I still don't want to run on two days in a row, this morning I walked in the exact place that I ran run 3 of week 5 when I was doing C25K, yes that 20 minute run, today I just walked the route as yesterday I ran a 6K, it brought a lot of nice memories of last year, especially when I saw several other runners today including a man of what I would say was around 60 years of age panting quite heavily, I don't think I was panting as much as him when I ran that run last year.
Thatβs great Alan youβre doing great see what we can do I ran just ove 4miles today and I was shocked I could run that far bring on the 10K π I need a break in between running it brings out the better runner in me ππππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈ
The more you run, the better it all gets
Just been looking at my stat's for just 3K runs.. I was catching up with my running log diary.. and there is a wonderful evolving of time, and speed.. I had some lovely negative splits yesterday!
Thank you π yes running does surprise me all the time and Iβm one of them that loves running in the rain. Porridge and peanut butter sounds lush π happy running
Who knows indeed?
Great eh.... a wonderful addiction... I did Ab work yesterday...ran and cycled too... today.. swimming in a little hidden bay off the Llyn Peninsula
Have fun, you crazy runner you! x
It definitely is wonderful and addictive this is my workout for the week Monday abs and leg workout then later 10K training in the park. Tuesday chest shoulders and triceps in the gym later on at night spin class which Iβve put back into my workout. Then Wednesday 10K training in the park then either Thursday or Friday but of late itβs been Thursday I go to the gym and do abs lats lower back traps and biceps and then Saturday 5k park run. I only wish I could just go and swim in the sea near me π but the nearest is st Annβs or Blackpool about 45min drive but you wouldnβt want to swim in it very very dirty not like weβre you swim or when I went to Cornwall down there itβs green blue and just beautiful itβs like abroad but I was going in with a wet suit donβt want to catch a cold π thatβs excellent what youβre doing oldfloss keeping active is a must to keep fit and healthy good on you ππππ»ββοΈπππππββοΈπββοΈπ΄ββοΈ I bet you go surfing as well Iβve not done that as my balance is terrible and I would be off more than on π
