Out this morning while it’s still cool and before the traffic.
We were on a tour of SE England visiting family and friends from Saturday to Wednesday and after 750 miles, several unsuitable meals and untold alcohol units, I thought I needed a hilly consolation run.
Ooh, that was hard but so glad I did it. Birds tweeting, sunny but cool. Legs shouting “is this some joke?”
Roll on parkrun!😎

Well, no doubt you made it tough for yourself, but you're making up for it now, and we all need and deserve to let our hair down now and again. Do you find though, that a few drinks affect you much more than they used to? They do me, the toxic ten is more like the toxic hour and a half if I overdo it now 😶
I do keep to a rule of no booze before a run day for that very reason. It was the succession of booze plus bad eating that got to me. I usually load my eating towards breakfast and lunch with just a tiny snack in the evening. That went by the board!!🍕
