After not running for a week due to a nonspecific illness (the lurgy?), I made it back to my running course on Thursday. I went out for 20 minutes of fairly gentle run/walk the day before, just to wake up my muscles. Urgh, hill training! π¨ Ok it wasn't Kilimanjaro, but it was challenging enough for me, thanks! But, it must have done me good, because I got a pb at Parkrun! Yay! Btw I've never seen spiky acorns before but I parked by this tree, and took a photo of them before I drove off home, to show you lot. Aren't they cool!

Back in the groove, touch wood.
Nice photo, glad that you enjoyed your run today and got a PB at parkrun. π
I ran my 7th parkrun today at Dunfermline, however, no official results from a email and the parkruns result page is blank, however, I think my UNOFFICIAL time was around 32.40 ish because the runner just in front of me told me that her result on her Smartphone was 32.39
There must be a problem with the computer for the Dunfermline Parkrun.
My official time was 32.45, so we were pretty close today!
My OFFICIAL result was 32.31, the EXACT same time as that runner whose Smartphone told her UNOFFICIAL time was 32.39, I always go by the parkrun time, that is why I don't bring the phone with me to a parkrun, congratulations on your sub 35 minute 5K time of 32.45, yes indeed our times are almost similar. ππππΎ
Good run grumps. Been doing a bit of hill plodding myself. Must be the time of year! I am not a gardener, but are those sweet chestnuts? π€·π»ββοΈ
Whoah...I wondered what they were...thought you were growing your own strange fruit!!! Well done on getting back to it...and such a success??!!! Get you?!! fabulous start to the weekend, strange fruit and all!!
Well done on your PB! Sometimes a rest does you good, a bit of restore, rejuvenate and reset and you come back on fire! Xx
Congratulations on your PB, those hills are obviously doing some good π
Well done on your PB today!. I think the acorns may have been affected by the Acorn gall wasp, but they certainly look very attractive now>
Love those spikey acorns too GOG, great pic! ππ
Itβs nice to hear youβre feeling better. Well done on your run! πββοΈππ
Congratulations on your PB - those hills must have paid off !π
