I've got a Garmin Forerunner 235 and I think it's the best thing I've ever bought!

I’ll second that Pianism. I think I’m actually in love with mine! 😍😍

I love mine too. I’ve heard you can get secondhand on eBay at a good price.

How much do you like technology? I've tried Fitbit, Garmin and polar. Fitbit is very easy to use, great app, but not as much information as the others. Garmin has a lot of information for runners, and depending on the tracker can even play music or be used for payments. It gives you lots of information, too much maybe. Polar makes trackers, what I mean is that as smartwatch the others may be better, but is quite easy to use (from my point of view more intuitive than the Garmin)... It also has a very nice training plan on the web. If you know someone with one, ask them to have a look, and download the apps to see what you like more

Look up letscom fitness tracker on Amazon, I find it ok and not expensive. Not so sure about the swimming. Good luck!

Garmin 235 or 245

I think the answer will be determined by the fact you want it for swimming too. A lot of the cheaper running watches such as my garmin 35, are not waterproof despite the technology being there.

Thank you everyone for your help but I think I will be getting one from Amazon as they have water proof ones and at a reasonable price 😉

I have a garmin vivosport which I love. The strap recently broke and it had to be sent back. I bought a Huawei band 4 for <£30. Comparing the two: both give similar heart rate. I prefer the Huawei sleep analysis but Garmin wins for me because of in built GPS. Both waterproof. Huawei counts less steps b

I have a Fitbit, but it is very inaccurate regarding distance. I now use MapMyRun on my phone.
