Quick question, can I run after back surgery, L4/L5 decompression and Fusion?? #justwanttorun

I think the doctor is the best person to answer that. Good luck with getting back to running if he gives you the all clear. Maybe do swimming or one of those asymmetrical non impact machines to keep the cardio active in the meantime.

Mine was way back in the 70's. As yet no probs. I checked with GP first

I agree with the others: check with a sympathetic doctor. I say a sympathetic one because a few doctors are a bit negative about running in general (based as far as I can see on outdated information) and you want an informed, unbiased answer. But it is a question for a doctor who knows you, not for ordinary runners like us, to answer.
