Parkrun buddies

Given that we’re not supposed to reveal too much of where we live, I note that many on the forum meet up for Parkruns.

How do we do this? I’d welcome occasional get-togethers in North Cornwall.

Well people do reveal whereabouts they’re from on here. Just put a post titled ‘North Cornwall parkrun’ or something so people see it straight away as not everyone opens a message.

It's better not to tell people where you live, but I don't see any harm in telling people which parkrun you will be running at so that you can meet up with them at that particular parkrun..

Just the town is fine I would think.

If you just announce which parkrun you intend to run, you should get some takers. Then you can private message each other to arrange a date, which you can then post about so others can join in. Or you could message dexy5 or cheekychipmunk and ask how they did it?

There are a few of us who have begun to do semi regular parkrun meet-ups at different locations. I’ll travel up to 2 hours (more in special circumstances!) A post is generally put ip a few weeks ahead of time so anyone who fancies it can express interest, then we PM each other to finalise the details. 😀 It’s a lot of fun.🏃‍♀️🏃🏃‍♀️🏃🏃‍♀️🏃
