That was a tough one :(

I did the 9k to complete week 7 of my redoing of Ju-Ju's 10k plan early this morning. For some unknown reason I'm not sleeping very well this week so all the weeks runs have been just a bit "challenging". This morning's 9k was more than challenging, it was really tough, I was feeling about ready a give up at 7k but I plodded on, eyes glued to my Garmin desperately awaiting for the 9k to pop up so I could stop. Extremely relieved when it finally clicked over to 9, I decided to be lazy for the rest of the day, planned gardening has been rescheduled to another day :) Have a really great weekend fellow runners :)

Well done for soldiering on OG! ๐Ÿ‘Š We all get tough runs, but the key is to slay those gremlins and carry on if at all possible. You did. Awesome. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Thanks, hopefully with a little more sleep I'll be back to normal form next week :)

Think itโ€™s the heat- Iโ€™m having the same trouble sleeping. Iโ€™ve got both windows open, the bathroom window and bedroom door open in the hopes of a through draught...sleeping with just a sheet over me... still waking up several times a night. And it does affect our ability to run, Iโ€™m sure. I just couldnโ€™t face it today, after spending the day walking around for 6 1/2 hours in the baking sun with an energetic 3 year old at Rosemoor, so I had an extra days rest and Iโ€™ve promised myself tomorrow morning for a run.

I agree Lou the heat does not help at all . . . I got to 4k and was already feeling tired and a bit fed up, but I had another 0.5k before I could turnaround and get back to the car. One of the disadvantages of running out and back rather than a in loop, or advantage depending on on your point of view :)

Ah, we all have those days. The current warmer than I'm used to nighttime temperatures aren't helping my sleep (which is never great to begin with anyway) either.

At least you got out there, which, sometimes, is all we really can do.

North Tyneside 10k, well that was a tough one.

I had really been looking forward to this one as it attracts a much bigger entry than many races...
