It's been a while since I last posted, but I had to come and share my news with people who will understand how thrilled I am!
I have continued to run 3 times a week most weeks and although not always loving the run itself I still love the way I feel afterwards and the positive effects on my body, and my physical and mental health.
I've been saying since graduating c25k that I wanted to enter an event and get me some "bling". Well I've only gone and done it! Peterborough midsummer 10k done on Sunday, a PB for me at 1hr 13.32 -Boom!
Loved it, it was a fantastic event, really well organised, a great atmosphere and a lovely medal too! I'm definitely hooked. Looking for another couple to enter over the next few months.

It was a great race, I think I enjoyed more than any of my other runs to date. I just soaked up the atmosphere. The race makers, other runners and spectators were all fantastic
Congrats Sandra great achievement. I agree with you on the sometimes not enjoying the run but enjoying the feeling afterwards. Roll on the next 10kπ
Wonderful! Well done to you! πΎπ₯π πββοΈπ€ΈββοΈπββοΈπ€ΈββοΈπββοΈπ€ΈββοΈππ»ππ π₯β‘οΈππ Lovely photos!π
Yayayayay Sandi! πππ Huge huge congratulations on an amazing run! Your smile says it all. You are awesome! Well done! And check out your beautiful bling ππππ
I know the feeling Sandi - I felt the exact same way after the Bristol 10k. π Fortunately I already had 2 other races booked for this year - one of which is the Bristol 10k Race for Life which is this coming Sunday. πββοΈπββοΈ Yippee! πππ
Shame youβre a way away, because Iβm doing the Severn Bridge 10k in August which is meant to be awesome. Good luck finding one - tell us when you do! πππ
Fantastic! Congratulations! And what a great time! I'm still on my way to 10k ... But I remember my first race 5,33 km one week after graduation of C25K. The race was hard for me (we had 30 degrees at 6:00 pm!!) but as you I enjoyed the race atmosphere, the people, everything so much. It was such a great feeling to cross the finish line! I still get tears in my eyes when I remember this moment!
Delighted for you Sandi, what a great time! Will you try to increase your distance do you think, or are you happy where you are? I'm curious because I'm still heading for 10k and can't imagine wanting to go further ππ
As soon as I finished c25k I wanted to get to 10k, and I thought that would be my limit, now I'm thinking I may aim for a 1/2 marathon - maybe next year - never say never
Oh you really ARE hooked! π I think I'm probably in the minority, most people when they start b210k seem to want to keep going. But I'm going to take pleasure in everyone's bigger successes, while being extremely proud of my smaller ones π
