Ballina Parkrun

We had a big Cousins Get Together in Ireland at the weekend. 6 of us attended Ballina Parkrun:

1 My little cousin who doesn't run and who hadn't done any practice

2 His girlfriend who used to run

3 My sister

4 Her new boyfriend

5 My nephew, a programmer who does very little cardio and is miles younger than the rest of us

6 Me

We came in in this order: 1, 4, 6, 3, 2, 5.

The only non-running and pretty much non exercising cousin got the best time. He'd just done one 5km a couple of days earlier as a practice!

His girlfriend is likely to become a Parkrun regular 😀

It was a super morning and I was really pleased with the family turn out.

How special! How old is your little cousin!? Just sounds so wonderful for 6 cousins to meet up for a Parkrun. I wonder how far apart you all live. Definitely worth celebrating!

How brilliant Baddie, love that you and your cousins got together, sounded like fun. 👍 I missed a reunion in Ireland 2 years ago with my cousins, none of my cousins run, but I would still have been last, 😀 so ya done good. I will embrace my inner snail this year when I get to be a parkrun tourist in Ireland and the UK.

Yeees! Could definitely put Marple on the list. Awesome! Would love to meet you Baddie. I’m in Preston for two weeks, including Sat 24 and 31 August, so Marple only an hour away? Wilmslow for one week and plan on Wilmslow parkrun 21 September, Saartje said she would like to do Wilmslow too 🙂

Brilliant! It will be great to run with you, well not actually run with you, speedy 😂 but the cake afterwards sounds good! and will definitely try and make Marple and meet the others, very exciting to meet the people behind the names. 👍
