I ran Nicosia, where next?

On Friday I did a night run in Nicosia and it has got me thinking, where next. I am a short hop from several cities in Turkey so that would be an idea but how do I find out where runs are? Is there a good database anywhere?

Strava would be my go to here... you should be able to find a local running club/group and once you’ve joined it you can see their runs.

Map my Run is a free resource, no need to join anything. You can see the routes others have logged. If the same thing comes up a number of times you can be reasonably sure it’s doable. For mainstream tourist destinations, just simply googling ‘running routes in [name of city]’ will often throw up articles written for runners. I have found a number of excellent routes, even formally laid 5k surfaces, this way.
