Week 4 of Ju-Ju’s plan and a watery eye 😄

Just did my first run of week 4. I did the 8k first to get it out of the way, the final 2k felt really tough especially as the route back had an incline (note to self - plan the route beforehand 😂) but I have totally faith in the program and I will get to 10k.

Random question, whenever I run outside my right eye waters like mad. Makes no difference if I wear sunglasses or not. Does this happen to anyone else and is there anything to stop it ?

I’ve had watery eyes before, although not just one. Advice from the optician was that it’s usually due to dryness and eye drops morning and night helped.

Well done! :) When I did my first (and second) 8,5k [longest runs so far] it was the same for me. The last 2k felt so hard. I had to tell myself, only 2k ... only 1,5k ... and also there was this incline!!! But I have no chance. There is always an incline on my way back home. That's a real killing challenge!

I always have watery eyes when there's wind ... additionally mostly the nose is running, too. I think that looks awful ...

I’m the same, no matter what route I plan there will always be an incline so I guess it’s about stamina. The more longer runs we do the better we’ll get at them. I was the same as you, told myself that I’d already run 7k so that got me there and then told myself it was only 1k to go or just over two songs on my playlist and that did the trick. I was delighted to stop and 8k and do my 5 minute cool down walk 😄

I went to the pharmacist today as my sinuses we also at me and he said it was allergy related which I was surprised about. He gave me some eye drops and when I used them my sinuses weren’t as sore for a while so perhaps there’s something in that. Going to give it a few days and see how it goes.

So maybe I should test if for me it's also an allergy! I did some tests a lot of years ago, but maybe something changed. Thanks for that hint. :)
