Having spent a couple of days with my new partner here in Caerphilly (nr Cardiff, Wales π΄σ §σ ’σ ·σ ¬σ ³σ Ώ) I knew I had a run to do π
As part of my 10k plan on w3r3 it was a 40 minute run, and I found 'Parc Taf Bargoed' 5 minutes away.
It was a lovely place to run, and I found some rhythm to my pace quickly. I'll just get the stats out of the way in case anyone's interested:
In 40 minutes, at an average pace of 5:28, I covered 7.32km. I was fastest at the time I finished too, going 4.44 per km.
For this run it's not really about the stats that made it so memorable though, it's just having the opportunity to spend an hour in a lovely place away from the road, taking in all the surroundings and listening to some great music. I intentionally missed certain routes to visit next time, but that being said I would happily do the same route again. My partner, not (yet) a runner, doesn't quite know how lucky she is to have somewhere so nice and tranquil so near.
I hope your runs are going well and you're enjoying this warmer weather. My other runs this week went well, I just didn't post because there wasn't anything worth saying π
Mike
Sorry Cheeky, I didn't see any baby animals!
