Goooood morning/ afternoon/ night
So after my workout routine thing yesterday I was curious, rather than apprehensive, about how I'd find today's run.
I know it's hard to measure this sort of thing but I don't think it had an impact - not physically anyway. One thing I was feeling this morning jogging around my local park was how we really are all stronger than we think we are and capable of anything we put our minds do. That's probably one the best things for me that's come from these programmes, though getting fitter and 💪 is F A B too. 👍
I encountered a technical problem on today's run because the 5k -10k app I'm using only alerts me when it's time to start/ stop intervals and when it's halfway. It just so happened that when that app was just telling me I was halfway through my tempo run my run tracker app informed me I was going at X pace burning X calories, and I thought I'd heard the tempo run was over. A couple of minutes into my slow jog it then told me to start jogging 🤔 I wish I had the £ to get one of those watches from Garmin, maybe later this year or if I get a job that pays me >£8.21 per hour *sigh*
So apart from going slower than I would usually to do a 'slow' jog and mistiming my tempo run, the run went well. I think everyone agrees this morning was great running weather, and I actually remembered to take a picture of my surroundings, rather than just show you my stats! Somehow I still managed to cover 3.6km in 23 minutes, averaging 6.23 mins per km.
