Work and travel has prevented any exercise for last two days. Managed to plan an early finish today; looking forward to getting out for a run. Sun was shining but the forecast was dire. Of course the rain started at 3.55pm. By the time I managed to finish at 4.30pm the sky is depositing cats and dogs.
Should I stay or should I go?
I managed to rummage out the old lightweight waterproof that a friend made me many years ago (thank you Jackie). Naughtily, the walk warm-up was skipped and straight into a gentle trot. Soaked head to toe within seconds from the rain and the puddles. Some strange looks from the folks trying to get home and into the dry.
Why am I smiling and enjoying this?
5k later I'm home, drying and looking forward to a bad for me takeaway arriving. There has to be some compensation!
I fear I may be getting into the running lark...

Definitely a runner and a nutter 😆 you’re in good company, we’re all a little mad here! ...I’ve been looking forward to my run today as it was 8k and somewhere different. About 1km in and the heavens opened ...first rain which I enjoy running in ....then hailstones which I don’t as they flipping hurt 🤣 finished the run in glorious sunshine and with lots of PBs 😁 and a lot of weird looks off people as I was soaked!
Sounds like you had a good run and what a fab way to celebrate, with a takeaway! Enjoy!
