Take 2. I can do this!

Thanks again everyone for your amazing support. On Tuesday I had a rubbish run and ended up feeling really miserable. Also feeling really worried about the 5 mile run I have entered in June.

So today, I got home from work as early as I could and put on my running shoes. The sky was a funny colour but the sun was out.

I’d probably done 1km by the time the rain started. I decided to stick to my normal routes near to home just in case it all went wrong but apart from getting absolutely soaked, it all went to plan. 8km in the bag 😎

My legs felt a bit wobbly as I stood in the shower after, and I think I may ache a bit tomorrow but I am so pleased I managed this. It has given me the confidence to believe that I CAN DO THIS, despite the occasional bad day.

There is also that little voice in the back of my head that’s saying “you know, 10km is not much further than 8.....”

Well done you. I know what’s it’s like self doubting and when you prove yourself wrong and actually do it it feels so good.

Mad isn’t it, that 6 months ago I couldn’t run for 60 seconds, now I’m thinking “another 2km isn’t far “ 😂
