Having not undertaken my usual Sunday run yesterday (was recovering from over training at the Army Navy rugby match on Saturday) I thought I'd make the most of having time today. Got up nice and early (husband forgot to turn the weekday alarm off 😁) and set off for a cross country. Legs hurt, head kept telling me I'd never get to 1k let alone a longer run as planned. However decided to deviate from my planned route and took myself through the bluebell woods and then ran back along a path I normally run in the other direction. The attached view greeted me, lifted my spirits and ended up with a 8.87k run so not too shabby in the end.

Definitely not shabby! I almost always start my best runs wondering what on earth I'm doing out of bed so early in the morning then at about 2k I start to remember 😊.

I do love the early mornings. Didn't see anyone person other than one runner coming past with his dog.
