Today was apparently the flatter faster route, but guess who got the hilly section?!?! In one 😳

Anyhow what was meant to be 5.2 miles turned out to be 5.6 with a mofo of a hill, coulda cried, anyways, I walked a fair bit of that hill and 57 mins later received this fetching wee number

Thanks so much, it was a great atmosphere, nice and breezy, not sure if I could be tempted to do the whole thing though!!

Ooooo 😍😍😍😍 amazing Walshy! What a fun thing to do. You know you truly earned your teeshirt and medal with your hills! Awesome stuff! πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Thanks so much, how did your run go?? I was so nervous and my calf started to cramp on that damn hill, still feels a bit tight, if I was running that by myself in a non marathon situation I probably coulda got it quicker 🀨 im glad it’s done now, 3 weeks to Runher 10K coastal challenge, I’ll have a wee rest day tomorrow and go out again on Tuesday, love the pic of doggo in your profile pic xx

Maybe a nice hot bath will help your tight calf Walshy? And some good stretches, πŸ˜€ You’ll nail your upcoming 10k - can’t wait to hear all about it. πŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

My race was phenomenal. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely and we were pleased with our times. I got a PB which was a bonus. πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜€

Great job. Maybe it was your section that the error was in... BBC are reporting that the Belfast marathon was actually 0.3 miles too long.

Everyone of us who had done the relay was saying that there Run was definitely longer, mine was meant to be 5.2 miles and came in at nearly 5.6, a friend of my husbands knocked the whole thing out of the park in 2hr 57 mins!, Jesus if that was me, I’d still be going!! Well we got the tshirts and medals so alls good πŸ‘

A load of us waited around to cheer in the final runners, the amount of people limping, taped and trussed up was unreal, there was a guy hobbling up to finish line with a knotted calf! Enticed much?!?! NAH 😳

What a great idea to do it as a team relay. Congratulations one and all. A lovely day for it.

Thank you so much, it was a load of waiting about and pretty cold, I’m sure you heard the furore over the length of the race, it definitely felt longer! Thank god I didn’t do the whole thing!

Well done! Sounds like a brilliant way to participate in a marathon. I can almost imagine trying that one day (in a galaxy far, far away...) πŸ˜‚ Excellent for your team. πŸŽ‰

Thank you so much, in our running club there’s a few busted knees and blown out calves going on today!! They laid on a bus for us there and back and the state of us all hobbling off that bus yesterday was a sight to behold!!!!
