I ran 7.5 miles Bank Holiday Monday, yes i was slow but over the moon, can't believe how far I've come on with running since i started last July, tbh i felt i could have ran further but I really bad burning pain in both heels, i've since discovered that I've work the padding out in my trusty running shoes.

Yyyeeeaaahhh new running shoes for me.

Hi all

new running shoe shopping was a great success the running shop in Newcastle were amazing, the sales guy a seen definitely know his stuff, turns out he's a distance runner for team GB (i was well impressed) he had me walking in bare feet in the shop, balancing on 1 foot etc, suggested the shoes i needed to be looking at, i had seen a pair i really liked while waiting on assistance, but he wouldn't sell me them as not right shoes for me.

i purchased Brooks Glycerine 16, in black and bright pink, OMG went out last night for a 5.5 mile run, the difference was amazing, and on the plus side shoes originally one sale for Β£135.00 i got them for Β£99.85 as a sale on.

Happy training for GNR now commences.
