7k, Whoop whoop!

In the bag, kicking and screaming 😌. CP2 disappeared off into the bluebell wood, while I stuck to my known out and back route. It's an undulating path, with quite a steep downhill section just before my halfway turn. And then I had to run up it again, what was I thinking! I managed to take this photo without actually stopping, so it's a bit out of focus.The bluebells are in full bloom now, the smell was amazing. After struggling back up the hill, there was a lovely long gradual downhill, which then leveled out and all was well until around the 5.5k mark. Everything then got really tough, and I began to seriously consider stopping at 6 or 6.5k. But, weirdly, I started to feel better again, and managed to finish the last k without too much distress, although I could tell that my face was now matching my very bright running top. Certainly made it easy for CP2 to find me in the queue at the café. Mmm, granola bar😋

Well done..I remember my 1st 7k...it feels amazing! Looks like a lovely run as well..the bluebells and blossom are so beautiful this year..lots on our Apple trees so plenty of cider this year ..hurrah!!! Enjoy your afternoon feeling so satisfied with yourself!

Ooh, cider, yum! It feels like a real achievement, because I was stuck around 5k for so long with one thing and another. It was tough going though, so I'm not going to push too hard now.

The blurring is a deliberately arty technique, deals. To convey the sense of action and movement, and speed of course 😁 which was sadly lacking by that point in my run 😂

Fantastic! Oh, I remember my first 7k very well! It was so amazing when my watch told me that I reached 7k and I could stop. When I started that run I was so nervous that I told myself, ok, you can stop again at 6.5k, it's ok ... but everything went ok and I finished that run with 7k. I still know that I was crying during my cool down and was talking to myself "haha, I did it" all the way home. I think people who spotted me thought I was insane.

Can't quite believe I did it, lezlie! Amazing how you can remember your own run so vividly. I only started getting nervous when I got to 5k, and knew I still had another 2 to do 😬 it seemed impossible, but I called up my snails and got there 😊

Thanks dexy, I had no idea if I had a photo until I got home again. I got a lovely one of a branch and some sky, but I figured nobody would want to see that 😁 Very chuffed at completing the run 😊

Thanks Jonathan, it felt like a huge jump in distance today, and I really don't need to rush to 10k. So I think bit by bit is a good idea. I'll just bask in this for the time being 😊

Thanks Bridget, when it got tough I remembered your words, I can crawl to the end if necessary, and that made me giggle and helped me to keep going. Funny I don't get sweaty, just really red. A dry tomato! 🤣🤣
