Weary today

I really struggled to get out for my short run today. Feeling low in mood and still feeling my 5 miles on Saturday, but I knew it would help. Explored a trail near to me, which runs along a beck and can go up a huge hill: I stayed on the flat and my leaden legs struggled through 3.5k. It was surprisingly warm, too: my car says 19C! Feel better for getting out (if a bit sweaty!)

Well done in getting out there and hoping that’s lifted your mood...a bit of sunshine and sweat has helped I hope ! I did a short run this week and blaming hormones and age for my weary lead legs 😂

The trail looks beautiful 🌳

No worries Molly, some runs feel like that, but even a 3.5km one is better than moping on the couch! The weather has definitely warmed up. I only walked the dog today and got hot quite quickly.

Hope your run helped lift your spirits? 🤞😀🏃‍♀️

I expect your legs do feel a bit weary today but a run is a run and you did it 👍🏻 hope the endorphins have kicked in and are making you feel a bit less low. It is warm today I went for a slog (I mean run) this morning and was so sweaty afterwards. I then had to immediately shoot off to holiday club to give my son his antibiotics and nipped into Waitrose on the way back only to discover that in my haste I had odd shoes on one black and although the same type of shoe one very noticeably black and white! I blame the sweat in my eyes 😊😊🥵🥵

That looks a lovely place to run molly. It brightens the mood just seeing nature at its best this time of year.

Yes, I left my earphones at home so I could hear the birds 😊

Some runs are just those runs. But good on you for getting out there😀

I know, but at the moment I seem to be having more of those runs than the easy/enjoyable ones! Strangely I’m really achey today too, despite yesterday’s run being short and extremely slow. I’ll keep chipping away x

Sometimes that can be a germ looking for a place to settle. Lots of watery drinks & be kind to yourself! 👍

Well done for getting out there. 3.5k is a decent run out when you didn’t feel like it. The photos look lovely and Spring sights and sounds really do lift the spirits don’t they?

They do, Sandie. I’m glad I left my music at home x

Hope you're feeling better today Molly. Those runs or even series of runs happen to us all - the ones where it feels like hard work. But we do them and you did one. Well Done !
