This is my first post from coming over from 5K forum.
I graduated on March 11. And stuck with repeating W9 until now.
I plan on increasing my distance by 1K per week, running x3 runs per week still.
Anyone one else got to 10K this way?

Hi RR welcome to this friendly forum. You’ll love it, and we’ll love having you! 👍
I did that, although I started off by adding 0.5k to my long run. I found that not enough, and as I’m a slow runner and not at high risk of picking up injuries by pushing myself, I upped the increments to 1k from 7k onwards if I recall correctly. Since then I’ve done the Magic 10 plan a few times. Might be fun to check that out on the pinned posts, as there’s a new one starting shortly.
Whatever you decide, just don’t exceed the 10% rule (distance and time running per week.) Good luck! 😀
I did it by sticking with a pattern of long run, parkrun, short technical run each week, taking the long run up by 1k every 2 or 3 weeks, running it the first time as shorter intervals (eg 2k blocks with short walking intervals), the second time as longer sections (eg 4 or 5k blocks with brief rest before starting again), then repeating or moving on depending how it went. I also used this method to advance to 16k going up in 2k blocks once I had achieved 10k.
I went long run each week as 6k, 7.5k 10k 😂
Congratulations on your graduation! After consolidation I continued with 2 x 5k runs per week (1 parkrun) and extended the third by 0.5-1.0 k each week. Happy running! 😀
Hi RR, nice to meet you, I'm one of the runners about to start on the next round of JuJu's magic 10 plan (although you can do it yourself at any time), this is a lovely supportive forum 😊
