Hi guys !!! Set off on a beautiful sunny morning with no thought in mind save for completing a nice steady 6K and hoping my right calf would hold up under the pressure .... Well not only did my previously suspect muscle pass the test with no problems , but my wife and I bagged 7K, as the extra distance felt very do-able all things considered and with more left in the tank !! So pleased and proud of ourselves, as this was the first run out of week 4 B210K !! Our goals are now being set up for post 10K B,ham run in May ,so we have them in situ to pick up on and keep the momentum going foreward. These goals will be centered around 5K runs including hills and speed work, whilst still running a 10 K on the weekend . Hopefully our times for each distance will fall over time ,but enjoyment will always be our priority !!
Suprise suprise !!!: Hi guys !!! Set off on a... - Bridge to 10K
Suprise suprise !!!
Blinking heck, that’s far. I’m very admiring and a tad envious of your progress. I thought feel that 5K is a fair distance!
Thank you CP !! So proud of my wife too ,as she is bringing her weight down (and nicely too !!) whilst following B210K . She is rock steady with it - one pace covers all ,usually , but today ,without cohersion ,hint or allegation, she sped up twice for a few metres as we finished the last kilometre of the day !! Go baby !! New running outfits are on our 'to purchase list', too ,as our official vests have arrived from the hospice we are representing and we feel it only appropriate that we are suitably attired !! Buzzing for 8K next sunday .We are running 5K this coming wednesday and friday ,can not wait !!
That's great, glad the leg held out 😊
Great news on the 'calf' front (!) and well done on your run. You plans sound good too!🙂
