I hadn’t run for a few days, the weather has been awful, but Sunday morning was sunny in Sheffield where I was visiting a friend. We walked to the park. She sat in the sun and I ran round every path, in both directions until I’d reached 4km. Then we walked home. A small run, but it counts ⛅️
4km round (and round and round) a little par... - Bridge to 10K
4km round (and round and round) a little park in Sheffield
All runs count, not sure what your friend thought when she was sitting in the sun and you were running round every path in the park in all directions until you got to 4k.
Yep everything counts.... I might have opted to sit in the sun!
Absolutely it counts baddie! Although I'm also wondering if your friend got a crick in her neck trying to follow your progress 😁
Going is going, BaddieThePirate It's those 'little runs' that are habit-forming....you were visiting your friend, but you still managed a run anyway. Well done!
Well done Baddie, trying to gain a distance in a park can be amusing to the onlooker, and I have to smile as I pass someone on a bench for the umpteenth time. But it’s more miles on the legs
Every step counts!
Looking forward to Marple next week - but I hope it's not as muddy as last week... my socks and shoes came into the shower with me this week as I couldn't think of another way of getting them clean without the house getting dirtier!
It most definitely counts Baddie! Well done! 👏👏 But don’t you find that the little extra distance you need to make up your 4k (or whatever) takes ages to clock up? I’ve done similar to you and I swear my Garmin and MMR conspired not to budge during the last 0.5k! It seemed to take forever! 🙄🙄
Which park did you run in? I originate from South Yorkshire. I have run the Sheffield Hallam parkrun a couple of times when visiting relatives in Sheffield (Endcliffe Park). You can follow the Porter Brook, the stream that runs through Endcliffe Park through a network of paths out towards Derbyshire, very popular with runners and dog walkers. It’s also nice running along the Rivelin valley. Slightly further afield, my favourite running route is the Monsal Trail. I was lucky enough to be visiting my relatives in Sheffield when I “needed” to run 14k as I was at the time training for the Great South Run. A 7k each way out and back from Haslop station across the junction between Monsal and Miller Dales, through 3 of the tunnelled sections, is one of the nicest runs I have done.
Yay for running round in circles. Loopy running is fabulous. 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️👍👍
We dropped into Kingston Lacy on the way home from Portland yesterday and as we passed by Wimborne I wondered if any of the many runners we saw out and about was you. Probably unlikely
I often wonder if runner that I see are C25kers or any of you lot!
Dexy I wish one of them had been me. I would have waved. You can always spot me especially as I often arm dance when I run 😂 I was though back in Wales for the weekend. No better place to watch the rugby than at home. Can’t believe you were right by me though.
Where there’s a will there’s a way 😊 well done 👍🏻 4K is a nice size run when going round abs round 😃
Nice “little” run Baddie, running in sunshine what could be better. So looking forward to reading Marple parkrun reports. 👍
Sounds excellent - I like Sheffield a lot. My daughter went to Uni there. Wouldn't want to run up and down those steep Sheffield hills though! The park sounded just the ticket. 👍😀
A cheeky sneaky run? They all count! 😁
