Due to my officiating at a Baptism this morning, I had to miss the Parkrun this week. I knew this was going to happen and took steps π to make sure I got my runs in. The weatherman lied last Monday about it being impossible, Thank God.
I managed my 10K on Monday, and then got in a 4Km on Wednesday, and topped it up by doing my paper round (I need the beer money) at the run on Thursday. So in fact I ended up beating my week record distance too.
Now I had promised myself to get down to 79 Kilos by the end of March, which will be the anniversary of running for the first time since 1966, and the scales said 79.0 kilos after Wednesdays run.
I missed the Parkrun in the pouring rain terribly (honest!), but actually a good week anyway.
Hope you managed a good one too.

Congratulations on graduating to 10K with a good time of 1.16.53, just as well you were officiating at a Babtism this morning as the weather was terrible for anyone running at a Parkrun, there were several events cancelled in Scotland because of snow, in England it was very windy and wet so you it was just as well you did not run today.
For the very first time I felt the need for full-wets waterproof gear to get from house to car and car to church this morning. You're right, it wasn't parkrun weather. But I do miss them.
We too missed out on Parkrun this week as weβd planned a weekend with family. Having seen that only 300 of the usual 500 turned up as a result of the windy weather though I think we may have stayed in bed even if weβd been at home. It was certainly very blowy off Portland Bill in Dorset (over 50 kph) π¬π
Congratulations on your weight loss - lots of benefits to this running thing!
The key to that is the route. Although it's not flat by any means, the last 3Km were downhill, and that's when you know how much you have left in the tank, and can give all of it. Those last 5 were the best kilometres I have ever run from an enjoyment perspective.
