... You can hear the woodpecker tapping away in those trees!
Such glorious weather and I hadn't run since Saturday's parkrun, so I took myself out for a 4k run. I tried running a slow k followed by a faster k, and I finished the 4k in 25 minutes. Although, as usual, I forgot to stop my watch after the 4, so I had to do some maths when I got home π I love my Garmin, it's helped me out of several absentminded moments. Note to self - try to run the slow section on the uphill, and the fast one on the downhill. I did the exact opposite! Aagh! π¬(I think I forgot to squeeze today π²)

I can hear him βΊοΈ in my mind anyway! I forget to press stop quite often and the car drive home gives my a very speedy run π€£π€£ yes slow run uphill and fast run downhill would make much more sense! ππ
I wouldn't be getting out anything like as much as I do now. I love running by the local canal, and I hardly ever thought to walk it, except to the pub π
I often hear woodpeckers in my local woods, and love it! This is heavenly weather to run in, and sounds like you enjoyed yours. π I always glute squeeze when running up hills, it really gives you power! πππ
Bluebirdrunner enlightened us about squeezing those glutes, and I tried it on my previous run. It really worked but I completely forgot about it today until I'd finished! What with that and forgetting to stop my watch, my mind wasn't at its sharpest π³ it would have been a great time to do it too!
I too forgot to squeeze yesterday as itβs not yet a habit. But my hill was so long and I was so slow up it, I think my glutes would have been under duress!
Iβve forgotten tech too. So much to think about with this running isnβt there? π
I tried the glute stretching on my run today, but kept getting distracted by my knickers falling down! Need to throw them away, so I don't have this distraction again!!!!
I've lost a couple of dress sizes and upgraded my wardrobe, but appear to still have some of my old knickers! Not a problem usually, but when I run .........
Oh lordyπ¬ time to sort out your knicker drawer, young lady! Treat yourself to some lovely new ones to celebrate the new you (Now that's advice I wasn't expecting to give on this forum!)π PS that must feel amazing, it really is a new you ππποΈ if you don't like these,I won't be offended π
Looks lovely GOG. I'm just getting over a lengthy cold that went onto my chest, so was pleased to be able to manage 7.8k today. Hoping to get back up to 10k next week π
