A little Garmin Forerunner 35 experiment today ....... results as shown 🤔
But I was on skis - does this still count?
I also did a mile in under 4 minutes, apparently!

Can you edit to skiing or other?
Running on ski slopes sounds a bit risky!
I could change the title, but it would stay forever in my running stats if I didn’t delete it (which I will eventually). The fun will be seeing the run tracks superimposed on the satellite image of the resort, on my PC back home.
Awful faff though - off glove, select “run outdoors”, wait for satellites, press start, on glove, ski ...... and glove off again at the end to stop. Won’t be doing it too often!
I did a Parkrun one day and forgot to press the stop button at the finish line on my Garmin Forerunner 15. I hopped into the car after and drove home recording a new fastest mile pace which is still on my records before I realised and pressed stop.

I’ve been tempted to do this the last few times skiing. I’ve been so curious how many km we ski in a day, especially given we’ve had such cold weather there has been no lineups. We would go straight from the slopes to the lift and repeat. It was awesome. I was thinking of just starting and letting it run all day but then would have to delete the lift time and distance. Your way would be more accurate but definitely a lot more faffage. We were with a snowboarder this last trip so there was a bit of a delay at the top while he got strapped in. I might have to give it a go next time.
I hope you guys are having a great holiday and are finally getting better temperatures.
Make sure you let the Guinness Book of World Records know! 😀
