Hi Scrabbles, this post gives plenty of advice and information about which running shoes to buy to suit you.

healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

We all have very different running styles and what suits one person can be quite inadequate for another.

Hope you find this helpful...

Happy shopping!😊x

Hi, once you have done your research and know what price you are willing to pay. I’d suggest you visit a specialist running shop or sports shop with a running section. The assistants are often runners and can really help.

I probably should have gone to seen a specialist, but when my last pair gave up I grabbed 2 pairs 🤣 First were some cheapish Adidas Cloudfoams like I'd used before which were ok, but after some advice on here was wooed by the UltraBoosts. Night and day, they feel like the comfiest slippers to wear, hug your feet and definitely put an extra spring in my step. Worth a look but check out the shops and see what suits your feet best! 👍

A gait analysis at a running shop is always a good idea, to find out what your style/pronation is like. Then you can make sure you get the best fit. That said, Brooks are fab - the Caldera is my favourite shoe EVER as it is a hybrid trail shoe so takes me from road to track. A well cushioned and supportive fit too which I need. Good luck and don't forget we love looking at 'noo shoos' on here!🙂

Oooh interested in your caldera comment. Is it wide in the toe box?

I use Brooks Adrenaline and they are amazing. I liken them a bit to a firm mattress - it might not be as comfy as a big soft one initially, but after use is when you notice. For someone like me whose ankles are a bit prone to wobbling everywhere, the support the Brooks give means I'm much better when running and have much less pain afterwards. :)
